WP10. FLIGHT TESTS FOR THE DEMOSTRATOR
Objectives:
- The fundamental objective of this work package is the development of a flight test protocols Control and Guidance System (SCG) for the safe and autonomous operation of the aircraft in SAR missions.
- After designing the required architecture, a simulation model of the control system will be developed to collect the behavior of this unconventional aircraft during critical phases such as the transition between airplane mode and rotary wing mode, low speed flight.
- On this basis both low-level control systems to stabilize the aircraft will be developed, as well as the guidance systems to fulfill the mission entrusted with a minimum energy consumption
Subtasks
- T10.1. Development of flight test campaign protocols.
- T10.2. Campaign of flight tests to validate technological demonstrators in the platform developed in WP.
- T10.3. VTOL-CP flight test campaign.
Feasibility and Contingency Plan:
- To address the integration of the various technological demonstrators, this will be done gradually, using for it always alternative aerial platform, some developed and manufactured by the research team, and others acquired by the same team to carry out research tasks. Gradually, once the flight capabilities of the technological demonstrator (T5.4) have been validated, the different technological demonstrators of the different WPs will be transferred.
